Can It Be Fixed
"Can It Be Fixed?"
Whenever I get home and find a hand-written note waiting for me, it's usually from my partner, Sue, asking me to put the rubbish out.
Last week, however, I came home to a surprising note from my mother-in-law, Dot, along with a broken and distressed-looking Samsung A70.
Dot works part-time in a school and had been chatting to Ella, one of her colleagues. Ella's Samsung was broken, but quotes to repair it were either unaffordable or so low she didn't have confidence in the repair. Dot told Ella about Cumbria Tech and said she would pass the phone on to me.
Dot's note read:
"Screen wont light up, though the alarm still works. It's been fixed quite a few times.
CAN IT BE FIXED?
She's been quoted £90, which is too expensive.
What can you do? Oh, and there's still plenty of charge in it."
At the risk of sounding like Bob the Builder… "Can it be fixed?"
"Yes, it can!"
I agreed to match the repair price of £90 and Ella had a newly-fixed phone back in her hands within a couple of hours. We replaced the screen to fix the LCD damage – and switch that alarm off!
Although the option to pay in installments was available, Ellawas so delighted with the repair work that she paid my usual price of £125.
As you can tell from my office mug, I love Line of Duty – and I'm only too delighted to make sure Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Wee Donkey have working devices. Cumbria Tech – breathing new life into old technology. Your repair is our line of duty. (Get it?! If you're not a Line of Duty fan, click here to join in the joke.)
Seriously, though. Get in touch with me for any of your tech repair needs. I'm always available and happy to help.
